Advanced Studies Program at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, Germany

14-04-2013

The Kiel Institute's Advanced Studies Program in International Economic Policy Research was established in 1984. The ten-month program offers:

  • first-rate academic and applied training in global economic research;
  • compact, high-level courses, taught by leading scholars from various universities;
  • top conditions for own applied research through direct access to the world's largest economics library plus support from experienced researchers of the Kiel Institute;
  • excellent foundations for a successful career with international organizations, domestic policy and academic institutions, and international corporations.

The Kiel Institute offers the possibility of attending selected courses of its Advanced Studies Program. Participants will have to take care of accommodation themselves (the Kiel Institute can give names and prices of nearby hotels on request). There is no application deadline, but early application is recommended. Ph.D. candidates from academic institutions obtain a 60 per cent reduction on the regular course fee; they may also apply for low-price accommodation at the Institute’s student residence. Participation in course exams is possible (6 credit points for a two-week course, 3 credit points for a one-week course). In case of further questions please contact: advstudies@ifw-kiel.de
